WHY ARE REGULAR VISITS IMPORTANT?
There are several reasons for regular visits to the dentist at an early
age:
– the child becomes familiar with the doctor and the clinic, so that at a
later age
they do not suffer from dental trauma,
– the doctor checks the
correct
eruption of teeth,
– early discovery of small cavities allows for
their
fast and painless treatment.
In severely destroyed primary teeth with deep decay, their premature loss
occurs,
followed by the displacement of other teeth into these empty gaps.
As a result, permanent teeth often cannot erupt in the desired position
and erupt "crookedly".
By fluoridation and early treatment of cavities in primary teeth, thereby
preserving
them until the physiological exchange for permanent ones, you
significantly
minimize the risk of "incorrect tooth eruption" and the subsequent
necessity
of wearing an orthodontic appliance to "straighten" them.
You should have the first preventive check-up with your child as
early as
the first year of life, and then every six months until
adulthood.
